Mr. Hoppe is best known for using vibrant colors in his oil paintings which is his preferred medium. Mr. Hoppe studied art history in England, art restoration in France, fresco painting in Florence, Vatican City, and Assisi, and sculpture in Carrara early in his career. He has exhibited his paintings in Artomatic since 2000, in local coffee shops in the Washington, DC Metro Area including the University of Maryland and on several buildings on Capitol Hill.
Despite residing in Virginia for over 25 years, Mr. Hoppe considers Alamogordo, New Mexico his hometown where he went to high school. He recently moved to his retirement home in Arvada Colorado presently. He often takes inspiration from his Southwestern roots as well as from his Filipino heritage.
Hoppe Art, LLC is owned and operated by Mr. Christopher Hoppe and his wife, Olivia (CEO). Together, these two seek to bring art to loving homes and public spaces.
As a child, I remember drawing on the wall of my bedroom and getting into so much trouble. My parents supported my artistic talents by paying for private tutors, supplies and classes.
Over the years, I learned that my grandmother, my father's mother, had artistic talent and so I follow in her footsteps. I find it important to continue to paint and create art pieces to carry her dream. Both my father and grandmother have passed but I immortalized them in my art and my heart.
Each piece carries my training, research of materials and my love for life! My art is like collecting visual poetry or short stories full of vibrant color and beauty.
Part of my soul is in each painting and my goal is to bring happiness to my collectors through my visual splendor.
